FAQs

Why offer a free 15-minute Phone Consultation Call?

The initial 15-minute phone session, for which there is no charge, is an opportunity to see if you might feel comfortable working with me, and for us both to briefly explore the reasons you are seeking support. At the end of this consultation you are entirely free to go away and think about it, to book a face to face appointment, or to ask me to recommend other practitioners.

What are the fees?

My fees are £60 for individual and couple sessions. Please do not hesitate to let me know if you are looking for reduced fee services as I am happy to provide referrals. Payment is due 48 hours before the session, payment indicates confirmation of attendance. If payment is not received 48 hours before the session it will be assumed that the appointment is not needed and offered up to clients on the waitlist.

What are the next steps?

If you decide that you would like to work with me I recommend that we set up weekly appointments for a minimum of 6 weeks. Sessions are 50 minutes and take place at the same time each week. Daytime and evening sessions are available. I do not work at weekends.

How does confidentiality in the sessions work?

I adhere to the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist code of ethics and I treat all information you give me as confidential. I share information with my supervisor who is bound by obligations of confidentiality, but anything shared will be anonymised.
If I believe that you are in danger of harming yourself or others, or that a child is at risk, I have a duty to inform outside agencies but, wherever possible, I would discuss this with you first and agree a course of action with you.

What is your cancellation policy?

The full fee is payable for sessions cancelled within 48 hours of the booked appointment. The cancellation fee is waived if facing a medical or family emergency.

Do you offer on-line or Skype sessions?

Yes, I do for my clients who live or work abroad frequently. Please do not hesitate to discuss this with me.
